Yi Min
Here is my newest Panda, Yi Min. I managed to jigsaw the dark pieces for this sweet little panda from what was left of the gorgeous brown alpaca I made Bronson in, there was just enough to squeeze this one out. This new design has an almost open mouth, with a cheeky little tongue just seen poking out. Yi Min's face has been extensively scissor and needle sculpted to capture the sweetness of a panda cub. She has deluxe English glass eyes with leather upper eyelids and perle thread embroidered eye whites which enhance her innocent appeal. Her sculpted leather nose has been varnished to give it a healthy sheen. Yi Min is six way jointed, with a double neck joint and armatured limbs for gentle posing, her filling is a wool/cotton blend with the addition of glass pellets in her belly for weight. I used a wonderful piece of soft leather to applique Yi Min's feet which are also beautifully sculpted to create toes and creases, so good to tickle. I then added some little leather claws. Yi Min measures 11" (28cm) from head to toe, 8" (21cm) seated, 11" (28cm) nose to tail and 6.5" (16.5cm) at the shoulder when on all fours.
